Having been in business since 1949, our goal has always been to provide you a professional, courteous, and well trained staff and to make your shopping experience pleasant and informative. In addition, we strive to provide you with high quality, name brand furniture that represents a great value. Our showrooms have the latest styles, designs, galleries, and merchandise carefully selected to help make your dreams come true.
We suggest getting all the pieces you want to complete your set at one time. Styles and colors change over time and we have no control when a manufacturer discontinues a group.
Brown's Furniture honors all manufacturers' warranties. Most companies have at least a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects. Brown's Furniture will assist you in getting warranty work done and in many cases, the repair will be done in-house by our trained repairmen. Typically, there is no charge to you for manufacturer's warranty work, but there is a small fee for in-home inspection and/or repair and transportation, if it is needed. Manufacturers do not warranty fabrics and their warranties do not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by pets, misuse, abuse, accident, commercial use, institutional use, or shipping damage. Items purchased “as is”, including clearance items, are excluded from warranty coverage. Mattress manufacturers warrant against structural defects. This warranty is between you and the manufacturer and Brown's Furniture has no control over their decisions. Some manufacturers have extended warranties against defective parts. Manufacturers warranties are subject to transportation and labor fees in some cases.
Yes! Our delivery system is designed to get your new furniture to you as soon as possible. Our trucks typically leave our warehouses early in the morning and make multiple deliveries throughout the day to a specific town or area. The delivery route is set up in advance and on the day of your delivery, we can give you a general idea as to when to expect delivery, but we cannot give you a specific time. Our delivery service includes set up in your home and careful inspection of the items to be sure they are in good condition. Check with the store in your area for more information.
Unfortunately, we cannot promise an exact time of delivery. We do multiple deliveries each day and your delivery time will be effected by factors including how long it takes to deliver other merchandise prior to your delivery. You can, however, call our showroom the morning of your delivery and we can tell you what stop you are on the truck and give you some idea whether to expect delivery earlier or later in the day.
Yes, someone 18 years or older should be home to allow access to your house and to sign for receipt of the merchandise, confirming the good condition of the products delivered and that there has been no damage to your personal property. Brown's cannot assume any liability for damages or claims that are not documented at the time of delivery.
Yes, we carry out our deliveries in all weather, unless road conditions make it too dangerous or impossible. In the event of ice and snow, we ask that you please clear your walk and drive of snow and ice for the safety of our delivery people and to prevent damage to your merchandise. In the event your delivery must be canceled due to weather, we will contact you and reschedule with a new delivery date.
Our goal is to bring your purchase to your home with efficiency and care. To help in this, the following should be done prior to delivery. 1. Remove pictures, plants, tables, etc. from the path of the delivery. 2. Remove breakable objects from the path to the destination room. 3. Have the room or area clear for the new furniture. 4. Have drives and sidewalks cleared of snow and ice. (We will not carry heavy furniture on slick walkways.)
Yes. Please call a day or two before pick up so that it will be ready when you arrive. Come to our showroom sales counter and we will direct you to the appropriate area for pick up. Please inspect your purchase carefully as we will not be responsible if it is damaged after pick up. We will assist you in loading your merchandise. It is a good idea to bring old blankets or tarps to wrap around your furniture.
Because of the special nature of clearance items and the substantial price reduction, all sales are considered final. There will be a charge for delivery and clearance is sold ‘as is'.
We do multiple deliveries in a day and our trucks are on a tight schedule, plus our insurance does not cover moving your furniture. This includes transporting your furniture to other locations.
Our drivers cannot hang or install pictures, mirrors, or wall accessories. They cannot make home alterations such as the removal of doors, door frames, banisters, railings, windows, etc. They cannot handle or hook up electronic equipment, including TVs.
Brown's Furniture shops for products from all over the world to buy you the very best quality at the very best price. Some products are made here in the United States while others are imported.
The life of furniture depends on your use and lifestyle. Brown's Furniture has been in business since 1949, and we have set a standard of quality and construction for the furniture we sell. We do not stock or sell the cheaply made products that are available.
Yes, we are glad to special order should it be necessary. We maintain a very large inventory in stock in our warehouses, so there is a good chance we will have what you want in stock. But if we special order, we require a down payment prior to placing the order. Since manufacturers' will not let us cancel a special order after it is placed in their system, we cannot accept cancellations.
The time varies depending on the item, the company, and shipping distance. Some manufacturers' maintain inventory in their warehouses while others make the item after the order is received. When you consider shipping time to our store, 6 to 8 weeks would be a good average time. However, there are times when it may take longer and times when items will arrive much faster.
We will notify you when your merchandise has arrived in our warehouse. At that time, delivery or pick up can be scheduled.
Normal body impressions will occur as your mattress adjusts to your sleeping position. The settling period will normally occur within the first 30 days. However, if your mattress sinks deeper than 1 ½ inches within the warranty, it is considered defective.
If your mattress is out of warranty or if it is soiled or stained, your claim will be denied. We suggest you use a water-proof mattress pad to keep it clean.

We offer competitive prices everyday so our customers do not have to wait for a sale. However, because of our size and multi-store buying power, we continually analyze our inventory to identify slow sellers, discontinued items, mismatches, overstocks, and items no longer in our long range plans and offer these items at a lower ‘sale' price in order to keep our inventory fresh and current. We do not feel you should pay regular price on these items.
